Expressive drawings in the Informel tradition, sometimes reminiscent of details in calligraphy, come together in the Typeface Corona series (2020-2022) with text fragments that give the works their titles. The large-format sheets in the series of 100 works are the result of an complex process: Klaus Mosettig paints, drips, and pours on glass slide frames; he takes their projections on paper as the basis for the drawings, for which he applies strict rules. The scraps of words underneath, which seem familiar or alienating, challenge our ability to associate, which only in some cases gives the impression of coherence.
