Galerie Zimmermann Kratochwill
Galerie Zimmermann Kratochwill is a gallery for contemporary art with an innovative program. Since its foundation in October 2010, we have been promoting contemporary art by national and international artists with a focus on socio-political positions in a local and global context. In the development and realization of long-term artistic projects, we are in close contact with the artists and take a supportive position; both in projects that are directly related to the gallery and those that go beyond the scope of the gallery.
The gallery's program focuses on quality in formal implementation, content-related examination of current issues and coherence in the artistic positions represented. For us, being a gallery means supporting artists in the realization of their ideas in the best possible way and making their artistic articulations accessible to a broad public. In addition, we consider the mediation between artists, interested parties and collectors through regular exhibition activities and accompanying documentation through publications to be one of our central tasks.

What was? What matters? And what remains? An exhibition paying tribute to a figure who, like no other, has helped shape the art scene in Graz since the 1980s. The Eugen Lendl Gallery stood for a love of experimentation, dynamism, and quality. zweintopf presents a subjective selection of works from the gallery’s collection—colorful, whimsical, and full of surprises. While there is no specific anniversary to celebrate at the moment, it is essential to share the infectious enthusiasm for good art that Eugen Lendl has passed on to so many people—then as now…
