raum

Space for artistic development, space for technical knowledge, space for criticism, space for new ideas, space for everyone. A studio and exhibition space where knowledge is passed on and practised together. A space as a workplace and stage for creative young photographers and interested passers-by. A space with and about art.

We – as the kollektiv:raum – want to make photography accessible, explore, discuss, practise and present it. With the intention of creating an open space for photographic gatherings, we want to act in the spirit of a supportive, artistic community. We stand for a low-threshold approach to art and culture that is based on our knowledge and practice and is open to a broad audience.

Що ти будеш згадувати про ці часи?

(What will you remember of these times?)

The exhibition What will you remember of these times? by Ukrainian artist Jura Golik explores the experience of uprooting, collective memory and the fragile construction of reality in the face of war and exile. By focussing on the object-based dimension of photography, he creates a space that explores the emotional experiences of Ukrainian immigrants in Europe and simultaneously addresses the loss of a sense of time and reality that comes with living abroad.
