Akademie Graz is working interdisciplinary at the interface of art and society. It is dedicated to imparting critical reflections on socio-political issues. Therefore artistic productions and innovative mediation formats are developed. We do this especially in cooperation with (young) artists as well as with educational and social institutions in Styria.
Through rgional cooperations and internatinal networks Akademie Graz is kaleidoscopically present at various locations. The programs are mainly realized in Graz or in the Styria area.

Tillman Kaiser's kaleidoscopic world of forms has been formed through his exploration of architecture and his very personal drawing. It is inspired by the surrealist ‘depth - in the spatial sense of the dream’ (André Breton).
There are mysterious objects that tower upwards like totems and are reminiscent of buildings or creatures. In the prints and paintings, Kaiser superimposes cameraless light imprints of objects with overpaintings resembling rays of light in a clear and haunting cosmos of colour.
