gallery for contemporary art

The gallery artepari was founded in November 2007 in Graz. In addition to the production and presentation of limited editions and multiples of Austrian and international art, the work of artepari focuses on the positioning and mediation of contemporary artists. The gallery focuses its work not only on a continuous exhibition activity with four to six solo or curated thematic exhibitions annually, the presentation of its artists is also presented in the form of temporary exhibition projects and at art fairs.

The gallery premises are located on the 2nd floor as well as in the inner courtyard at Peter-Tunner-Gasse 60 in Graz and also offer space for installations and conceptual works.

Klaus Mosettig – New Normal

In his vivid pencil drawings, Graz-born artist Klaus Mosettig (*1975) visualises the working process he has been following for many years. It is the patient and elaborate hatching with which he depicts temporality in a reduced artistic language. In the new series, black lines and surfaces are systematically combined to create motifs that refer to naive drawing and whose emotional narrative is analytically broken. The random juxtaposition of the works in the form of a frieze intensifies the expressiveness of a series which, in its reverie, also refers to the state of the world as the artist perceives it.

(Tanja Gurke, cultural manager and managing director of the Grazer Kunstverein)
